Bill Camp and The California Team Leave Next Week
Here is a proposed schedule for the Nov. 12-20 trip to Honduras.
Saturday, Nov. 12- Depart Houston at 9:20 am on continental flight to San Pedro Sula. Arrive San Pedro Sula about 12:10 pm. Meet with Luther and the Vice Rector of the Latin American School of Medicine. Rent 3 4 wheel drive pick-ups that are 4 door vehicles. Drive to La Ceiba and arrive before dark at La Quinta Hotel Viejo. Meet Kay, Pat, Amelia for dinner.
Sunday, Nov. 13-Pick up any medicine in the Bodega at Crusados that has a pull date of May 1, 2006 or sooner. Pick up worm medicine from Sandy. Drive to Limon and spend the night. I assume we pick up Luther in La Ceiba or Limon. We take David and Harriet from Crusados with us if they want to go.
Monday, Nov. 14-Hold clinic in Limon. Luther and the medical team will work at Carolina Clinic. The construction team will visit the Wood Working School in Plan de Flores and negotiate with Alfredo about building chairs, tables, beds, and doors for the clinic patients and staff at the Ciriboya clinic and being paid by whatever sources we can secure.
Tuesday, Nov. 15-Clinic in Limon in the morning and travel to Ciriboya in the afternoon. Construction team works in Plan de Flores.
Wednesday, Nov. 16-Women’s Health Seminar in Ciriboya. Possible Clinic at the new site. Construction team works at the Ciriboya Clinic.
Thursday, Nov. 17-Possibly Women’s Health Day in Ciriboya. Part or all of the Medical team (at least including Luther) and construction team travel to Tochamacho (SP?) for 1 day clinic and consideration of future clinic site. Luther said this is ABOUT 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Ciriboya. We will see what kind of shape the road is in.
Friday, Nov. 18-clinic in Ciriboya in the morning and drive to Limon in the afternoon. Spend the night in Limon.
Saturday, Nov. 19-Leave early as possible. Bay area doctors stay in La Ceiba. Seattle and Sacramento crews drive on to Tela and spend the night at Sherborn Inn.Sunday, Nov. Seattle and Sacramento crews leave early for San Pedro Sula. Plane departs at 8:30 am for Houston. San Francisco crew continues their adventures.
