Report: AHMEN activity for 2007

Primary mission is to Honduras.

Had teams from multiple Methodist Churches over the N.Al.Conf. As well as outside of our conference.

Teams were made up of both Methodist and Non-Methodist.

Areas the teams served in Honduras:

La Ceiba: feeding kitchen, Dorm for abused girls, construction of homes and mission compound, maintained warehouse for use of the various teams, held medical/eye clinics, individual sponsorships for girls dorm and individuals, construction of girl’s dorm.

Yorito: construction of mission house and church, held medical/eye clinics, feeding kitchen for children, evangelism in conjunction with local church

Limon: help medical/dental/eye clinics, soup kitchen for orphans and widows, began school in computers and English for orphans and community, supported sewing school, individual sponsorships

Plan de Flores: supported woodworking school, continued construction of this school, individual sponsorship of mountain students to this school and orphans to local school.

Punta Pietra: support for local pastor for full time church work, repairs of local school, began sewing school, support of local ag. Co-op, evangelism with local church

Ciriboya: medial/eye/dental clinics, taught solar cooking, support construction of medical clinic.

Rotan: soup kitchen, construction of kitchen/school/mission compound, evangelism wit local church

Olanchito: Medical/dental/eye program

Containers of food, school supplies, and construction material for flood victims. Three 40 ft. containers sent.

Larry Pitts Mission:

Prison ministry: in conjunction with local Honduran

Mountain home construction for orphans and grandmother

Maintained warehouse for all teams.
