Opportunities Galore in Honduras Feb ‘07
Sandy and Sister Eleanor have just called with a report of the activates going on in Honduras and an update of some of the opportunities for folks who want to help.
I am listing them below with a contact person to help you get started.

Girl’s Dorm in La Ceiba:

In addition, we have a few girls without sponsorship in the Girl's dorm in La Ceiba at the moment, they could use some help. The price for monthly sponsor for the girls is $110 and we ask for a 12-month commitment or a portion sponsorship for 12 months.

Limon Soup Kitchen:

As you know we are starting the school year this month of February. What possibility would there be of helping the children from the feeding kitchen to get their uniforms? It would be approx. $400.00 to $450.00 to do so.
Another doctor had asked about getting uniforms for them and for the poorest ones in Limon and pastor David had got with the school director and made up a list of the poorest children in Limon who needed uniforms, it would have been an approx. total of $900.00+ including the ones from the feeding kitchen, however the doctor does not have the funds at the moment, and she won't be coming until June.

Woodworking School in Plan de Flores:

Another young man would like to come to the woodworking school from the village of Paya, his name is Dennis Amaya. 17 years old. He would need a sponsor.
Mariana says they have 16 boys total. School starts on Monday, they have a commitment from Infop for 500 hours (until July).
She also says that one of the boys from Plan de Flores who is in the woodworking, would need sponsorship also, because he lives with his mother, but the mother's health is not good. This boy is Oswaldo Vasquez-14 years old. If we could get a sponsorship of about $30.00 monthly for him, it would be good.
