We met this pretty little girl on Friday while doing the Youth retreat on the Oak Ridge Cay. This young lady named Merica (sp?) also would probably required some help from a plastic surgeon in the states. As you may be able to see, she has had surgery for some type on congenital malformation of her face but I believe more could be done. I believe Carter Norvell may have some further contact information on her.

Child Needs our Help
Hello all who like kids!!!!!!!! I went on a mission trip last month to Honduras. While I was there, I met a little boy named Eduar Acosta who is 5 years old. He has crossed eyes, and as a result of this, he has unusual head posture. We were able to set him up an appointment with an ophthalmologist down there who has agreed to do the surgery for the cost of anesthesia. The cost of the surgery will be $167, and transportation and lodging another $80. For the boy's father, this would be about a years' salary, totally unobtainable. I was wondering if anyone would like to help out? If so, send just $5 or $10 and I will add it to my collection!! I have attached a photo of Eduar Acosta and his father, Jose.
Dr. Susie has already organized, with the help of Cruzado de Evangelico and their local pastor in La Union, to transport and orchastrate whole thing.
