Mario: Who is he?
Mario has been going with AHMEN, CHIMES, PINCC, and Birthing
Project for over 5 years. He functions as driver, interpreter,
friend, road manager, and any other thing you can think of on
the road. When I first met Mario he couldn’t speak English.
Over the years he has learned English and become a vital part
of our work.
Recently, Mario and his wife have started a church in one of
the poorer communities in La Ceiba.
Mario’s family includes his wife, two children, and one “adopted” son
Edwin (a.k.a. Cornflake) They are all a part of the Church. Mario’s
wife has a small business selling women’s cosmetics.
If you have never been on a mission with Mario, you are missing
a great experience.
You can contact Mario via Sandy. To request him, just let Sandy
know you want him on your team. I sure do every time I get a
chance.
