Discovery UMC and Helena UMC join hand
for a fruitful year in Honduras.
Discovery UMC is just back from a trip to La Union with Sister Eleanor and Shane.
Helena UMC plans to follow up in late August to work on Shalom.
Discovery had a great trip to La Union, Olancho. Sister
Eleanor and Shane went with us. God did a powerful
work with the help of Discovery and Cruzada servants. PTL.
Seven people ask Jesus to come into their hearts!!! We
serve an awesome God.
Sandy and I looked at the Shalom dorm. It had some minor
damage by the earthquake. We will need more metal for the
roof. Sister Eleanor is working on another container soon!

The roofing metal at the compound will cover
about half. If we can only do half in September,
it should be installed on the girls bdr. end of the shalom dorm. The
Shalom Bldg. is 50 ft. by 80 ft. that includes enough for the
over hang. After some time in Shalom with Sister
Eleanor the below items would be a great improvement: The
bath room has new tile and fixtures but many need some repair. We
have a master plumber and electrician going with us on
this trip. Items below are listed according to their
priority.
1. .Multiple roof leaks. Replace with metal. Some
already at the compound about 1/2.
2. Water well tank rusted through. Water filter would
reduce need to replace plb. parts.
3. Only one shower working out of three
4. Only 2 toilets working our of three.
5. Only one eye working on the stove. New stove!! Electric.
30 inch.
6. Handrail for the steps.
7. Lights fx need some new ballast.
8. Wiring ground fault--kithchen, baths and outside plugs.
9. Cabinet doors for the kitchen cabinets.
10.Siding for the 2 story level. Some 4X8 sheets
at the compound.
11. Floor tile for 1st floor.
Helena UMC team will be there Aug.29- Sept.6. We will
work on as many items as possible.
