“I always dreamed about helping the people most in need”
With this motivation in mind, since the beginning of my career as a doctor, I chose to work as a volunteer by donating 15 vacation days for the promotion of health in the different communities forgotten by the government.
Six months after my graduation as Integral General Doctor I decided to lend my services to the Municipality of Iriona, a remote area of limited access with no hospitals and subject to extreme weather conditions. I work in a health clinic which serves two communities, San Jose and Iriona. I serve a population of 1,689 people Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and make house calls from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

The community is very satisfied with the presence of a permanent doctor there to attend their every medical need under any circumstances. It is the first time in history that these villages have peace and tranquility knowing that their lives can be saved at any time.
