Dear friends and family,

I am taking a medical team to Haiti from Lansing, Michigan on February 10 - 21.  As you all know the need there is horrendous.  We will be taking doctors, nurses and some ancillary personel.  We need to purchase medications and medical supplies and I am asking you for donations to purchase these supplies.  The team is paying for their own travel and expenses.

I have attached a letter about the trip including supplies we are looking for.  If any of you wish to contribute we think cash donations are better, as we can buy most of these supplies and medications in bulk through our hospital pharmacy. 

If you do wish to contribute to Haiti medical care, 100% of the contribution will go to purchasing medications and supplies.  They have nothing there, no pain killers, no antibiotics, no wound care - nothing.  Everything we take will alleviate suffering and save lives. 

Contributions are tax deductible through Limon Aid (which is a charitable 503c organization).  We will mail or email receipts for all contributions.

Please consider making a donation.  When we return we will bring back pictures and post a blog about our experiences there.  Many of you have contributed to our Honduras medical mission trips in the past, and I cannot express enough thanks.  A little bit does so much.  We have seen antibiotics save lives and legs and arms - IV hydration has brought babies and children back from the brink of death.  I know what we will see and do in Haiti will dwarf what we have seen and done in Honduras.  Please help if you can.  You can make a huge difference with a little help.
