Some Interesting things to share: May, 2012

Susan Caldwell’s Team from Michigan will return to Limon,

Honduras with a couple of new “wrinkles”. In addition to

regular work at the Carolina Clinic her team plans to:

1. build Public bathrooms in the Limon area.

2.research starting an internet school for the orphans of

Limon.

Linda Tripp is putting together books to take to Yorito,

Honduras for the English teachers in two separate

schools.

Byron Morales has been meeting with Fanny and Nina in

Yorito, Honduras to put the finishing touches on the ASI

AHMEN’s Community Empowerment Program for the

Yorito area to begin soon. ? date for beginning.

Byron Morales, Michael Franklin, Tom Arnold, and Bruce

McFadden have began preliminary discussions re. an

AHMEN’s Community Empowerment Program in La

Moskitia area of Honduras for 2013. In addition, he has 8

community Agents from La Mosquitia that have been

attending the workshop in Cosuna who will form the

nucleus for the workshop in La Mosquitia.

Nehun from Cosuna, Honduras has been assisting Byron

as an assistant in the Cosuna area workshop.A La Montana a Mar team are putting together First Aid

Kits to leave at the villages they hold medical clinics in La

Esperanza as well as the library they will be working on in

Utila. The team will hold training the health care worker in

the village as well as the teachers of the schools on it’s

use.

The Jungle Team is back from Gracias a Dios. They had a

very successful mission with medical folks from all across

the USA. See their report on Casey Farrington or Bruce

McFadden’s blogging.

The Spring Container has arrived in La Ceiba and Brent

Brady has had it successfully unloaded and stored away.

A big thanks to all who were involved in the collecting, the

loading, the shipping, the legal work, the unloading, and

the distribution.

Casey Farrington tried a new wrinkle. He blogged

regularly while in Honduras. Michael Franklin, De la

Montańa del Mar’s team will try and duplicate this idea.

Guf and Mary will be renting a home close to Belarie,

Honduras for the month of June. If in the area, pay them a

social call.

Alesia Boulware is spending the month on Roatan, if on

the island pay her a social call.Both Alesia and the Guffey’s are their for part of the

summer expanding the AHMEN horizon.

Guffeys, Michael Franklin, Tom Camp, and Byron will meet

in la Ceiba, Honduras June 21 to do strategic planning for

the AHMEN SIFAT Initiative fro the rest of 2012 and into

20113. If you want to have input, let one of the know

BEFORE the meeting.

It’s A God Thing will be in the Belarie, Honduras region

during the month of June with two potential new leaders.

A group from Calera High School will be taking a unique

all terrain vehicle to Belarie, Honduras with a video team -

look for forward to see the video.

Peggy and Sharon will lead Jane Cox team to Limon,

Honduras then back to Belarie, Honduas.

There are somethings I left out, Doris and Brent and

Cruzadas are going to be very busy in the month of June.
