Nahun and Edenia Flores - CUSUNA
After talking with the medical personnel they were requested to support the patients reception and they had the opportunity to use the instrumental provided by the August medical brigade. MAMUGA (Garifuna Municipalities network) made contact with Nahun and Edenia to request their community work coordination with other health promoters that belong to the Ministry of health in the area. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the National health Plan of the State and the official initiative to develop local health promoters. AHMEN community agents and SIFAT training are enhancing this governmental initiative. |
After the training with Guffy and Mary on eyes care, Nahum continues working with the people from his community (Cusuna). He prescribed some glasses and the people received the correct glasses from a box that the AHMEN Team left in Nahun's church. Nahun and his wife visited the Cusuna Clinic and observed the long rows of people waiting for vital signs.
