Lusaka, Zambia. This compound is called Kanyama and has a population of over 100,000 people. The church was planted over 5 years ago with the purpose of reaching the community with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The vision of the church is all about community transformation. The goal is to touch people on the spiritual, emotional and physical level. Currently the church membership is at 80. Most of these are poor who need economic empowerment. Our desire is to empower individual families. The church was planted by Pastor Bruce and Christabel Kaumba. They are both trained in World missions and Church planting. Pastor Bruce was trained in Christian community development at Servants in Faith and Technology based in the U.S.A. Bruce and Christabel have been married for over 8 years with one child{son}. They are also founders of a Ministry called Mobilizing Africans for Missions. The ministry is basically focused on training and development. Currently we are involved in training over 15 church leaders in different denominations in church planting and community development. S.O.G is currently looking forward to establishing a mini health clinic to help children under five and pregnant mothers in basic health care. *WAYS YOU COULD SUPORT* *TENT PROJECT.{PRIORITY PROJECT}* Our prayer is that by the end of January, we should be able to set up a tent . This tent will be used in training the community in various areas of need. Some of the areas identified are community health programs like water and sanitation, HIV/Aids awareness. According to current statistics one out of every seven Zambians is HIV positive. The tent will also be used to train the poor in micro-enterprise and community evangelism. You could help in purchasing this tent at a cost of $4500 from South Africa. The church is currently preparing a place where the tent will be set up. Currently we are using a place which is not easily accessible most of the week. We only have access to this property only for church services. This gives us less time to impact our community in other areas. *ADOPT A CHILD* The church runs a program that helps the children get to school. $25 could help a child get to school, if supported on a monthly basis. This includes tuition fees, school supplies and one meal a day. *Community Health workers* The church has trained over 10 leaders in HIV/AIDS counseling. We intend to continue doing this so that we could reach as many people as possible in order to reduce the effects of this pandemic. We hope to train over a 100 people in 2011. WE believe once this tent is acquired, this will bring about other developments in our area. Many lives will be touched and transformed through our programs. *LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE.* The church has a board of deacons who help run the affairs of the church. We have 7 people in total. 1. Denis Njapau 2. Moses Kapoba 3. Edmos Zulu 4. Kayoba Ngulube 5. Constance Kapoba 6. Mpeza Ngulube 7. Audrey Ngulube Senior Pastor: Bruce Kaumba Attached are some photos.
