Shane Cooper Gives
a Progress Report From Honduras
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to tell you about
our youth program in Honduras, how it is working and things we can
do to make it better.
First I want to let you know our strategy for organizing the youth
program. We have a national youth director, local department or
state directors and our youth pastors.
I work as the national director of the youth and am now trying to
help organize and establish youth directors so they can organize
and establish youth pastors.
Our main goal is to get them interested and keep their interest
in the things of God. We believe that by doing this we will help
to keep them out of most of the trouble that youth may normally
get themselves involved with.
One of our goals is to have educational programs that will teach
them the Bible, English and computer skills.
We will also like to have a social program that will provide a place
for them to have board games, card games, maybe a ping pong table
and or any other social activity that they may be able to participate
in once a week or as often as they can.
As you know, my friend Robert Ashworth has provides us with soccer
equipment and we think that this will help us keep them busy in
sports activities.
In His service,
Shane |
